Glenn Bower practices business law, with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, technology, health care law and securities law. With 30 years of experience, Glenn has represented a variety of public and privately-held businesses, including technology and manufacturing companies, health care entities, and other service providers. Glenn served as the Chairman of our Corporate/Business Department for over ten years, and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 1993.
In our core business law area, Glenn has negotiated and managed the legal work for many business acquisition transactions handled by our firm. He has also been involved in a range of organizational, structuring and financing transactions, including public and private offerings of securities, with their associated federal and state securities law compliance issues. Much of his work has also involved negotiation of joint ventures and other strategic business partnerships, including distribution arrangements.
Glenn has also been active providing legal assistance to clients regarding computer law issues, primarily due to his work with several significant technology companies in the early years of his practice. While he has been helpful to our non-technology clients dealing with computer, internet and e-commerce issues, he has also worked with a greater variety of technology companies in recent years, including a number of local start-ups, on development, licensing, distribution and privacy issues.
In the health care area, Glenn has represented a variety of providers, including institutions, practice groups and networks of physicians, audiologists, orthotists/prosthetists, and a multi-state, dentist-owned managed care dental plan. He has assisted these clients with practice acquisition and divestitures, physician recruitment, compensation arrangements and legal compliance issues.
