Tim Grimes brings a special understanding of the business of health care to his practice of health care law at Coolidge Wall. Having spent 16 years working in the administration of hospitals and physicians’ practices—most recently as Vice President of Business Development, and formerly as President and CEO of a primary care network, Tim has developed a keen awareness of the challenges faced by his clients and the pressures they are under. Tim has extensive experience dealing with issues surrounding HIPAA, EMTALA, fraud and abuse, the False Claims Act, Stark, private inurement, anti-kickback, and other compliance issues. As Vice President of Business Development and as President and CEO of a primary care network, Tim also developed expertise with physician contracting, managed care contracting and credentialing, practice acquisition and divestitures, and physician recruiting.
