David M. Rickert’s practice includes a wide variety of business and construction litigation, including trade secret litigation, litigation concerning noncompete agreements, software development and implementation, shareholder disputes, theft of corporate opportunities, copyright infringement and professional negligence. His construction litigation background includes litigation involving residential, commercial, and industrial projects, as well as geotechnical engineering. His construction practice has an emphasis in representing architects and engineers. Dave has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants.

In addition to representing clients with active cases in litigation, Dave also counsels business clients concerning risk management issues, including review of standard contract documents and business forms to limit potential liability. He also regularly makes presentations to management and supervisory personnel and assists in the development of corporate contingency plans.

Dave regularly participates in the Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project and represents criminal defendants as appointed counsel.

Dave is a licensed pilot and is fluent in American Sign Language.
