Coolidge Wall Co., L.P.A. is pleased to announce that David P. Pierce has been selected as chair of the firm’s Litigation Department. Richard A. Talda previously served as department chair for almost 23 years.

David is a shareholder within the firm and has practiced for more than 20 years with a primary focus in commercial disputes and employment issues. In addition to his extensive litigation experience, he served a term as President of the Dayton Bar Association and serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Dayton School of Law where he has taught Trial Practice/Evidence and/or Employment Law for a number of years.
David is a Senior Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), a designation earned by achieving the status of Fellow for seven consecutive years. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America® every year since 2012 and was named “Best Lawyers Dayton Litigation – Labor and Employment Lawyer of the Year” for 2018 and 2014, a designation given annually to a single lawyer in each practice area in each community.
David also has been named an Ohio Super Lawyer for the past 11 years and received recognition in Super Lawyers Corporate Counsel edition on the topics of Business and Employment Litigation. He was recognized as a Top 100 2020 Ohio Super Lawyer and a Top 50 2020 Cincinnati Super Lawyer.
In addition, David was a Dayton Business Journal “40 Under Forty” honoree and participated in the Dayton Chamber’s Leadership Dayton Program. He also served as Past-President of the Board of Trustees of the Greater Dayton Jewish Federation.
David earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Vanderbilt University and his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He lives with his wife Lisa, who is also an attorney, and their family, in Oakwood, Ohio.
