Winwood has been practicing in the areas of estate and trust planning, probate law and business law for more than 30 years in the Dayton area.

“We are excited to have Jeff join the firm, as he brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to our group,” said Chad Hansen, Chair of Coolidge’s Tax and Estate Planning Department. “Jeff is considered to be one of the top estate planning attorneys in the region and he adds depth to what is already one of the most extensive teams of attorneys and paralegals in the area.”

After several years with the Internal Revenue Service Estate and Gift Tax Department in Indiana, he returned to Dayton to practice with Pickrel Schaeffer and Ebeling and then was a partner with Louis & Froelich. Prior to joining Coolidge, Winwood managed his own firm, Winwood Rutledge Law, for more than 12 years.

Winwood taught Wills and Trusts at the University of Dayton School of Law for 24 years, and was selected as a recipient of the Dean Francis Conte Special Service Award from the law school. In addition, he was elected a fellow in the prestigious American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel (ACTEC) and has served in the college since 1999.

He has been selected by his peers as an Ohio Super Lawyer and was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America. Winwood currently lives in Centerville, Ohio.
