On September 24, 2019, the Department of Labor issued a long anticipated final rule that will update the overtime regulations that have been in place since 2004. “Where ignorance is bliss, ’tis folly to be wise.” This oft quoted line originates from Thomas Grey’s “Ode on a Distant Prospect at Eton College.” In modern parlance, this line is bifurcated and inserted casually into playful conversation.
