Elliott Haller is a shareholder in the firm’s Corporate Department. He focuses his practice on transactional, business, and health care law. Elliott’s work in the field of health care includes a wide range of topics; including, assisting providers and health plans through the complex web of regulatory compliance, transactions related to changes in ownership, defense of health care providers in civil litigation and arbitration, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services reimbursement disputes. He has represented several large groups of medical facilities with complex corporate structures and routinely advises them on corporate matters, transactions, compliance, and contract issues. Elliott has extensive experience working with Physicians as well as ID/DD, Long-Term Care, and Home Health providers. He has also worked with some of the largest health systems and hospitals in the Midwest. He is a member of the American Health Law Association (AHLA) and active with the Ohio Health Care Association (OHCA). In addition, Elliott serves on the Wegerzyn Gardens Board at Dayton’s Five Rivers MetroParks.
Elliott has experience with general corporate law and real estate transactions as well as experience with mergers and acquisitions. Over the past 10 years, he has assisted as local counsel on single family rental acquisitions and financing transactions and has prepared opinions, deeds of trusts, assignments, and loan agreements. He also has worked on behalf of borrowers with lenders such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and German American Capital Corporation.
Also, Elliott was named a 2026, 2025, 2024 and 2023 Best Lawyers®: Ones to Watch. Ones to Watch recognize lawyers who have been in private practice less than 10 years in the U.S. and like traditional Best Lawyers awards, is based entirely on peer review.
As someone who worked in the corporate world before law school, started businesses himself, and is a current business owner, Elliott truly understands the challenges businesses and entrepreneurs face in today’s environment and is uniquely qualified to help businesses meet any challenge.
Prior to joining Coolidge, Elliott worked for a well-known law firm in Mississippi for more than six years and as a staff attorney for the Mississippi Department of Transportation. He started his career in the wine business and has remained engaged as an owner of a brokerage, a certified sommelier and as a former wine director for the Chaîne-de-Rotisserie gastronomic society.
Elliott earned his undergraduate degree from Trinity College, University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, with an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree. While in college, he played soccer and was a Logic tutor. He graduated from the Mississippi College School of Law and received the American Jurisprudence Award for Evidence while there and was on the Dean’s List.
Elliott was involved in the community in Mississippi as a member of Jackson Young Lawyers and the Capital Area Bar Association. Elliott also speaks German.
Born in Dayton, Elliott is excited to practice law and live in the Miami Valley again.
