Coolidge Wall Co., LPA is seeking a dual Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer (CFO/COO) to oversee the Firm’s financial operations and functions, guide the Firm in strategic planning, internal operations and analysis, and oversee the Firm’s IT, infrastructure, policies, and procedures. This is a senior leadership role that will report to the Firm’s President and Executive Committee.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management: Directs and maintains responsibility for the Firm’s financial functions; oversees relationships with financial institutions and key vendors; prepares and distributes monthly financial reports, including productivity and financial statements; evaluates, implements, and supports effective internal financial controls; oversees and participates in cash management, budgeting, billing, collections, vendor payments, payroll, and retirement plan issues.

Strategic Planning and Leadership: Provides support and input to the Firm’s President, Executive Committee, and the Firm’s attorneys; directly supervises Coolidge Wall’s administrative staff with respect to accounting, billing, HR, IT, and other functions; oversees the hiring, training, evaluation, and development of the Firm’s staff.

The Successful Candidate:

Ten years of professional services or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management, or finance. MBA a plus.

Demonstrated understanding of financial and operating software systems.

Strong technical accounting knowledge, including an understanding of GAAP, tax compliance, and general auditing procedures.

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to provide clear, precise, and well-substantiated explanations of business issues, events, and trends.

Excellent people skills and the ability to work well, individually and in teams, with a diverse group of people.

Comfortable and skillful with a hands-on approach in situations where tasks and analyses cannot be delegated.

Ability to bring and manage meaningful change and participate in process improvement and project management initiatives.

The Opportunity:

Compensation will consist of a six-figure base salary plus bonus dependent on experience and market considerations. Additionally, we offer insurance benefits, a great work environment, stability, paid-time off, and a 401k plan.
