We announce bittersweet news today. Marty Welch, a beloved member of the Coolidge Wall team, and a senior paralegal in our Corporate/Business Department, plans to retire at the end of June. We are grateful for Marty’s 48+ years of service and her countless contributions to clients and the Firm. No one wants to say goodbye, but we are truly excited for Marty to start her life’s next chapter and enjoy her retirement.
During Marty’s almost 50 years at Coolidge, she helped manage and complete hundreds of transactions. Marty has been there from start to finish – establishing and managing data rooms, facilitating due diligence, preparing closing documents, and supporting numerous closings. In addition to supporting transactions, Marty helped form and maintain corporate entities for generations of Coolidge clients.
Coolidge attorneys and clients love working with Marty. Everyone you ask has similar comments about the experience. Marty is smart, kind, funny, hard-working, has a great attitude, and produces excellent work product. Current and former Coolidge shareholders benefitted from knowing her and learning from her when they started their careers. She made many of us smarter and better attorneys.
She went “above and beyond” to deliver excellent work every day. She earned universal respect and praise from colleagues, clients, and opposing counsel.
We thank Marty for her unwavering service to the Firm and her contributions to Coolidge Wall’s culture. We will miss her.
As many of you know, Marty and her husband, Bill, are incredible photographers. They are passionate about wildlife and the remote places where they spend their time traveling and photographing nature. Marty has been a member of the Dayton Tripod Camera Club for more than 25 years and has been recognized as the Nature Photographer of the Year on several occasions. We are proud to display some of Marty’s creations (like the one below) at Coolidge Wall. We look forward to Marty and Bill’s ongoing adventures and more fantastic photographs displayed in Bellbrook at the Sugarcreek Photography Gallery.
Legacy means leaving a lasting impact and how you will be remembered for years to come. Marty’s legacy is one of commitment and excellence in everything she does and the light she brings to everyone she meets. We thank her for her service and wish her a well-deserved retirement.
