Lucas focuses his practice on serving small and medium-sized businesses throughout Dayton and Southwest Ohio. Since becoming an attorney in 2022, he has represented businesses in transactions ranging from straightforward asset purchases to complex equity sales valued in the eight figures, helping clients navigate some of the most significant decisions their companies will face.
While mergers and acquisitions are a particular area of interest, Lucas’s practice extends well beyond buying and selling businesses. He regularly assists clients with:

Lucas believes businesses deserve practical legal advice that not only addresses today’s challenges but also positions them for long-term success.
His experience also extends beyond transactional work. Lucas has contributed to appellate advocacy, co-authoring an amicus curiae brief before the Iowa Supreme Court that addressed the broader impact of consumer credit laws on contractors responding to emergency situations. The Iowa Supreme Court ultimately ruled consistent with the position advanced in the brief. He also authored an article for the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association examining the legal issues raised by the case and their implications for contractors and the construction industry.
While attending the University of Cincinnati College of Law, Lucas also participated in law review, further strengthening the research, writing and analytical skills that continue to benefit his clients today.
Before entering the legal profession, Lucas earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Music Composition. That unique educational background fostered the creativity, discipline and attention to detail that now shape his thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to practicing law.
When he’s not working with clients, Lucas enjoys hiking Southwest Ohio’s parks and trails, golfing, playing chess and exploring the region’s diverse food and beverage scene.
